At Evercare, we’re always looking for ways to provide more flexible and comprehensive healthcare services for our members. That’s why we’re excited to announce the addition of Nurse Practitioners (NPs) to our Care Team! From October, Evercare members will be able to book appointments with highly trained Nurse Practitioners, giving you greater access to healthcare at times that suit your busy life.
More Convenience for Your Healthcare Needs
By adding Nurse Practitioners to our team, we’re expanding the availability of appointments, particularly during non-standard hours. Whether it’s early mornings, late evenings, or weekends, you can book an appointment with a NP to get the care you need—when you need it most.
Our Nurse Practitioners will enable you to see a pracitioner when our GPs might not be available. For example, from 7am on weekdays, until 5:30pm in the evenings and on Sundays in clinic. Our Nurse Pracitioners will also assist in covering a Doctors schedule when they are out of the clinic on holidays.
What Services Can Nurse Practitioners Provide?
Nurse Practitioners at Evercare offer a wide variety of services, from diagnosing and managing chronic conditions to performing minor procedures. Some of the services you can expect from an Nurse Practitioner include:
- Diagnosing and managing common health issues like infections, minor injuries, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
- Prescribing medications and adjusting treatment plans.
- Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests like blood work or imaging (e.g., X-rays or MRIs).
- Minor procedures, such as suturing, wound care, and biopsies.
- Referrals to specialists when more specialised care is needed.
This makes Nurse Practitioners a great option for Evercare members who are looking for medical attention outside of regular hours.

While Nurse Practitioners provide exceptional care, we understand how important it is for you to maintain a strong relationship with your regular GP. That’s why Evercare Nurse Practitioners work in close collaboration with GPs to ensure that all aspects of your healthcare are coordinated.
Your NP will keep your GP updated on any treatments or tests, ensuring that your care remains consistent and comprehensive. This way, you can enjoy the convenience of seeing an NP when it suits you, without sacrificing the continuity of care you’ve come to expect from Evercare.
