If you have a child who is bulk billed, you will need to follow a slightly different process after your appointment.
After your Doctor’s appointment you will receive a notification in your Evercare app . This notification will assist you to assign your Medicare benefit back to your GP as payment for their consultation. Tap on the notification in your list as shown below. You will be prompted to assign the benefit by clicking the “I agree” button.
This process is necessary for Medicare compliance. If you do not assign your benefit to the doctor, you will be charged privately for the appointment, and you’ll receive your rebate back from Medicare. Evercare will send you a notification through the app as well as an email to ask you to assign the benefit.
